Below Deck Mediterranean Crew Grieving over Loss of Beloved Crew Member
One Below Deck Mediterranean yachtie is mourning a tragic loss.
During the Bravo series’ Sept. 2 episode, season nine Deckhand Nathan Gallager received news that one of his best friends had passed away while he was at sea – and he was understandably devastated.
“So, I received a text saying that my friend had passed away from cancer,” the Ireland native explained in a confessional. “I knew he had cancer, but the night before I joined the boat, we were out drinking. He wasn’t drinking, but he seemed okay. Reflecting on the memories and everything, it’s a lot of information to process all at once and I’m just putting it aside for now.”
Later, while the entire crew was enjoying a night off partying together in Greece, Nathan’s boatmance partner, fellow Deckhand Gael Cameron, noticed that he wasn’t quite himself. On the ride back to the boat, he finally shared the unfortunate news with Gael and Chief Stew Aesha Scott.
Upon their return to the dock, Nathan finally let his emotions out.
