Below Deck Crew Reduced by Two Following Dismissal and Tense Departure
The St. David has lost not one, but two crewmembers.
In the March 18 episode of Below Deck, Captain Kerry Titheradge made the decision to let go of the first season 11 crew member, Bosun Jared Woodin, due to unprofessional behavior. The final straw was when an intoxicated Jared entered Stew Barbie Pascual‘s cabin the night before and confronted Deckhand Kyle Stillie about a mess on the deck after a night of partying.
“This is the second time you’ve behaved inappropriately while under the influence,” Kerry informed Jared. “As a leader, you cannot act this way. You need to set a better example for the crew. Your behavior is unacceptable.”
It was not just the alcohol that was the issue, as Kerry observed that Jared’s mental state was also affecting his performance. “You have personal issues to deal with,” he expressed. “You are your own worst enemy right now. It’s best for you to leave the ship.”
Jared acknowledged that his mindset was not in the right place and accepted his dismissal with grace.
