Bebe Rexha Shares Her Struggle with Cysts Caused by PCOS
Bebe Rexha is sharing about her health challenges.
The singer of “I Got You” disclosed that she recently experienced cysts alongside her battle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)—a condition where the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of male hormones that typically impact women, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.
“Three weeks ago I ended up in urgent care,” Bebe shared in a TikTok video on May 29. “I was in such intense pain, my doctor suspected it was appendicitis. It turned out to be a burst cyst. It made me really sick.”
The 34-year-old mentioned that regular pain relievers like Tylenol and Advil weren’t effective. “The only thing that provided relief,” she continued, “and I recommend this for cysts, is using a heating pad.”
Aside from the cysts, Bebe elaborated on various other symptoms of PCOS she has been dealing with.
“Irregular periods,” she described. “At one point, in February, my period lasted for 20 days. I had 10 days of bleeding, a week break, and then another 10 days.”
