BBC Presenter Dr. Michael Mosley Found Dead at 67 on Greek Island
Authorities are still investigating the unexpected death of Dr. Michael Mosley.
After a four-day search on the Greek island of Symi, the former BBC medical journalist was found dead. A post-mortem examination revealed that he passed away due to natural causes.
During the initial autopsy, officials found no signs of foul play that could have led to his death, as stated by Greek Police spokesperson Konstantia Dimoglidou in a report by BBC News. The position in which his body was discovered, lying face up, indicated a natural cause of death. The time of death was determined to be around 4 p.m. on June 5, the same day his wife Dr. Clare Mosley reported him missing during their trip to Greece.
A toxicology report and histology report have been requested for the 67-year-old, according to Greek authorities as reported by BBC.
On June 5, Michael went on a short hike separate from his wife during their vacation, around 1:30 p.m. local time. Concern arose when he did not return hours later, prompting his wife to alert authorities and initiate a search across the island.
