Renowned BBC Presenter Dr. Michael Mosley Passes Away at 67 on Greek Island
A tragic end has been found in the search for a missing veteran BBC presenter.
Dr. Michael Mosley, a British medical journalist and documentary producer, was discovered on June 9 on the Greek Island of Symi, four days after he went missing while vacationing with his wife. He was 67.
The TV personality’s body was found on a rugged beach in Agia Marina, as confirmed by local officials and the state news TV channel ERT.
Symi Mayor Eleftherios Papakalodoukas was part of the search efforts, combing the coast on a boat with ERT journalists. Their cameraman spotted and filmed what was later identified as the body of the British presenter on the shore.
“After analyzing the footage, it was sadly clear that it was Mosley,” Papakalodoukas stated, as reported by Reuters. “He was found 10 meters away from the sea, just around 10-15 meters from his intended destination, the beach of Agia Marina, situated between a fence and a pathway.”
