Barbra Streisand defends her inquiry about Melissa McCarthy’s use of Ozempic
Ozempic is no joke for comedian Chelsea Handler. Handler shared on the Jan. 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed her the medication without her knowledge.
“I didn’t even realize I was taking it,” she admitted. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to shed a few pounds, this will help.'”
Despite giving the drug a try, Handler didn’t enjoy the way it made her feel.
“After returning from a vacation, I injected myself with it,” she recounted. “A few days later, over lunch with a friend, she mentioned feeling nauseous from taking Ozempic. That’s when I realized I was feeling nauseous too, but I blamed it on jet lag from Spain.”
In the end, Handler decided to discontinue the medication as it wasn’t necessary for her health. She gave away the remaining doses to friends.
“I’ve administered Ozempic to about four or five friends because I realized I didn’t need it and found it unnecessary,” she confessed. “It’s meant for individuals struggling with weight issues. I have friends visiting my home, and I tell them, ‘I can see you at 1, I can see you at 2.’
