The 63-year-old former President shared his summer playlist during the September 5 episode of the I’ve Had It podcast, which included Charli XCX’s song 365. Obama defended his musical choices by stating that they were based on genuine emotions and appreciation for her work. He described Brat as a cool album.
Obama acknowledged that people may question whether he truly listens to the diverse genres of music in his playlists. He reassured listeners that he indeed enjoys the songs, saying, “People question sometimes whether I’m actually listening to all this music. As I’ve testified before, I am. He also mentioned that his daughters, Sasha and Malia, as well as his young staff, influence his music choices and introduce him to new artists.
