Professional Life: Vanessa Hudgens rose to fame after starring in all three High School Musical movies. She then went on to appear in films like Bandslam, Beastly, Sucker Punch, Spring Breakers, Machete Kills, Second Act, and Bad Boys for Life.
“High School Musical was a wonderful experience, but it led me away from the career path I had originally envisioned,” Hudgens shared in an interview with The Guardian in August 2018. “I always aspired to play the roles of an indie girl; I wanted to tackle characters like drug addicts, strippers, or prostitutes. This has been my goal since I was 11.”
In 2015, Hudgens made her Broadway debut in a revival of the musical Gigi. The following year, she returned to her musical roots by portraying Rizzo in Fox’s Grease Live!. In 2019, she participated in Fox’s live broadcast of Rent and starred in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s film adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical musical tick, tick…BOOM!.
Personal Life: After splitting with Zac Efron in 2011, Vanessa Hudgens began a relationship with actor Austin Butler. The couple parted ways in early 2020. In October 2023, she tied the knot with MLB star Cole Tucker. They are now anticipating the arrival of their first child.
