Armie Hammer Speaks Out About Accusations of Cannibalism
The actor had previously refuted any involvement in criminal activities. In a 2023 Air Mail magazine interview, he confessed to being emotionally abusive towards his former partners and recounted a traumatic experience at age 13 with a youth pastor which sparked his interest in BDSM.
During the same year, Hammer sought help in a rehabilitation program to address issues with drugs, alcohol, and sex.
“It was a crisis, a spiritual crisis, an emotional crisis, and the way I saw it was, I have two options here. I can either let this destroy me or,” Hammer shared on a podcast, “I can use this as a lesson.”
He added, “It was terrible and I wouldn’t wish that upon my worst enemy, but for the people I deeply care about, I hope they experience some form of it, albeit milder, so they can gain the same insights that I have. I am now in a much better place because of it.”
