Angie Harmon Files Lawsuit Against Instacart Following Fatal Shooting of Her Dog by Delivery Driver
Angie Harmon is taking legal action.
After a man delivering groceries to her home shot and killed her dog Oliver over a month ago, the Rizzoli & Isles star is suing both the delivery person and the company behind InstaCart.
In legal documents obtained by E! News, Harmon is alleging trespass to chattel, conversion of property, negligence, gross negligence, invasion of privacy, and infliction of emotional distress against the delivery man, identified as Christopher Anthony Reid, and InstaCart. She is also accusing Instacart of negligent hiring, supervision, retention, and misrepresentation.
Harmon is seeking a minimum of $25,000 in damages, with the final amount to be determined at trial.
The 51-year-old detailed how Reid appeared as “Merle” on the InstaCart app, using a profile picture of an older woman. However, Reid, a tall and intimidating younger man, showed up at her property on March 30, 2024, under the guise of Merle.
