Ananya recently expressed gratitude towards her mother, Bhavana Pandey, for recommending Vikramaditya Motwane’s film CTRL. Ananya shared that her mother was ecstatic when she agreed to be a part of the film.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Ananya Panday revealed her desire to work with Vikramaditya Motwane even before her career took off in 2019. Ananya mentioned that her mother, star of The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Bhavana Pandey, was a huge fan of Motwane’s 2010 film, Udaan.
Recalling her mother’s emotional response to Udaan, Ananya mentioned that Bhavana would cry every time she watched it, despite knowing the ending. This emotional connection led Ananya to eagerly accept the opportunity to work with Motwane on CTRL.
Ananya Panday made her debut in 2019 with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2, starring alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. The film was a sequel to the 2010 movie Student of the Year, which featured Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra.
Vikramaditya Motwane began his career as an assistant to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and directed Udaan in 2010. He has since worked on films like Lootera, Trapped, and Bhavesh Joshi: Superhero, as well as produced movies such as Queen, Udta Punjab, and Manmarziyaan.
