Amitabh Bachchan Defends His Decision to Continue Working at 81, Says His ‘Reason’ is Firmly Secured – Any Issue with That?
Amitabh Bachchan has made it clear to those who keep questioning him about why he continues to work at 81. The legendary actor, with 55 years of experience in showbiz, recently wrote a lengthy blog addressing those curious about his motivation to keep working. He started by stating that he doesn’t have a specific answer, except that “It’s another job opportunity for me… what else could possibly be the reason.”
The veteran actor emphasized that everyone has their own reasons for working or not working. He advised them to put themselves in his shoes and see if their opinions hold true. “You have the liberty to draw your conclusions and I have the liberty to work,” Big B declared.
Amitabh Bachchan didn’t stop there. He acknowledged that his reasons might not align with others, but he also listened to what they had to say because everyone has the right to express their thoughts. He concluded by saying, “You said, I heard, I gave my reason for working… that’s me… my reasons are mine… enclosed, shuttered, and locked.”
Bachchan Sahab also commented on how some people’s lack of substantial content leads them to build fragile sandcastles that often collapse. In his final thoughts, he stated, “May those who build them find some permanency… if it’s built for you and your business… mine is done and stands still – I WORK… PERIOD… have a problem with that? Well then… get to work and find out.”
Amitabh Bachchan, known for his iconic lines, shared some pictures from the sets of his game show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. He wished fans a happy upcoming Ganpati Mahotsav season and the pictures showed him in traditional attire.
On the professional front, Bachchan last appeared as immortal Ashwatthama in “Kalki 2898 AD” and will soon make his Tamil film debut in Rajinikanth’s “Vettaiyan.”
