Season 19 of America’s Got Talent Introduces Unexpected Live Golden Buzzer Twist
America’s Got Talent will be taking a hiatus as NBC and Peacock focus on the Olympics in Paris, providing fans with plenty of entertainment. The audition rounds for Season 19 concluded with some outstanding performances. Host Terry Crews also made an exciting announcement during the latest episode.
New Golden Buzzer Twist at AGT
Terry Crews surprised everyone with a major twist for the live shows this year: “For the first time in America’s Got Talent history, the Golden Buzzer will be used during the live shows.”
Starting on August 13, when AGT returns, each judge will have an additional Golden Buzzer to send one act directly to the final round, skipping the audience votes. This new twist promises to make the competition more intriguing and full of surprises.
Season 19’s Double Golden Buzzers
Season 19 introduced double Golden Buzzers during the auditions, adding extra twists to the season. Terry Crews had one chance to send an act directly to the live shows, while each judge had two chances.
Simon Cowell chose singer Liv Warfield and drone group Sky Elements, Heidi Klum selected singers Richard Goodall and Pranysqa Mishra, Howie Mandel picked dance group Brent Street and young singer Reid Wilson, Sofia Vergara opted for dance group Legión and comedy duo Schumacher, while Crews chose comedian Learnmore Jonasi.
