Alia Bhatt, the Alpha Star, wants her daughter Raha to be true to herself and comfortable in her own skin
Alia Bhatt is one of the top actresses in Bollywood. She not only stays in the limelight for her professional projects but also for her personal life. The talented actress often discusses her journey through motherhood and her parenting approach towards her daughter Raha Kapoor, whom she shares with Ranbir Kapoor.
In a recent interview, Alia reflected on her maternal instincts and expressed her desire for her daughter to follow what makes her happy.
Alia Bhatt on being ‘instinctive’ as a mother for daughter Raha
During a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, Alia disclosed that she has always trusted her instincts as a mother. She said, “When it comes to the legacy I envision as an actor and a mother, it has never been calculated on my part. The decisions I make as a mother are also very instinctive, based on what I feel is best for my child.”
The actress mentioned that she is a mix of being “meticulous” and “very random” at times. She believes that every child is born with their own personality, so as a parent, one should nurture and support them while allowing them to be themselves.
Expanding on her point, she cited her daughter Raha as an example, stating, “I don’t want her (Raha) to ever be any version of herself that she doesn’t feel most comfortable with.”
Alia Bhatt on Raha’s impact on her storytelling
Alia recently ventured into storytelling by releasing her first children’s book in June. In an earlier conversation with Midday, she shared how her daughter influenced her storytelling, leading her to make last-minute changes in her book.
She recalled making final edits to the book just before it went to print because of the insights she gained from reading to her daughter every night.
Alia Bhatt’s work front
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will be starring in Vasan Bala’s Jigra alongside Vedang Raina. The film is set to release on October 11, 2024. Additionally, she recently announced her upcoming YRF spy-thriller, Alpha, with Sharvari, for which filming has commenced.
She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor in the pipeline.
