Insight into Raising Their Son: Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender’s Parenting Journey
Parenthood transformed everything for Alicia Vikander.
The Firebrand actress shared rare insights into her life as a mother to her and husband Michael Fassbender‘s 3-year-old son.
“Becoming a parent changes you instantly, the moment the child arrives,” Vikander exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker. “I definitely have gained a lot more understanding and especially all the concerns.”
The actress added, “I believe it also gives you additional strength because it’s not just about you. It’s no longer just about survival. You have to stay strong to ensure you can care for these young children.”
The Tomb Raider star, aged 35, and Fassbender, aged 47, met in 2014 while filming the movie The Light Between Oceans. After keeping their engagement private, the couple tied the knot in Ibiza in 2017.
In 2021, Vikander disclosed that she and Fassbender welcomed their first child, whose name has not been disclosed. “I now have a completely new perspective on life in general,” she shared with People at the time. “That’s incredibly beautiful and will definitely inspire my future work.”
