Alexa and Carlos PenaVega Open Up About the Heartbreaking Loss of Baby No. 4
Alexa PenaVega and Carlos PenaVega have experienced a heartbreaking tragedy.
Five months after announcing Alexa’s pregnancy with their fourth child, the Spy Kids star and the Big Time Rush singer revealed that their daughter Indy Rex PenaVega was stillborn.
“There are never the right words to say when it comes to loss,” the couple shared in a joint statement on Instagram on April 15. “After a beautiful and peaceful delivery, our daughter ‘Indy’ was born at rest. It has been a painful journey. But in pain, we have found peace.”
Despite the challenges they are facing, Alexa and Carlos—who are parents to Ocean, 6, Kingston, 4, and Rio, 2—expressed that their late daughter has already made a profound impact on their lives.
“Grief comes in waves,” they continued. “Moments of feeling completely devastated…then moments of feeling grateful for any time we had with her.”
While they may never fully understand why tragedies occur, Alexa and Carlos believe that their time with Indy has guided them to a new chapter in their lives.
