Alec Baldwin Makes Unexpected ‘SNL’ Comeback, but not as Trump
Alec Baldwin made a return to Saturday Night Live but this time in a different role.
With black hair, the actor, known for his portrayal of former President Donald Trump on the NBC show, appeared on the episode aired on October 19 as Fox News’ Bret Baier in a cold open sketch mocking the journalist’s recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, played by former cast member Maya Rudolph in a recurring role.
“Good evening, I’m Bret Baier,” Baldwin’s character started the skit, “and to be clear, yes, I do look like someone created a businessman in Minecraft.”
The character played by Baldwin consistently interrupts Rudolph’s portrayal. “Tell us why the American people should vote for you,” asks Baldwin’s Baier, to which Harris responds, “Because I have a plan.”
“What is it?” he inquires, and she answers, “Well, I’m trying to explain.”
Baldwin’s character then states, “I’m trying to listen,” and Harris responds, “Then stop talking.”
“I don’t know how,” he replies, leading her to say, “Just. Just shut your mouth.”
“That was enjoyable, right?” he later states. “I had a good time. We’re running out of time. Thanks for being with me.”
