Alec Baldwin Seeks Dismissal of Involuntary Manslaughter Charges through Legal Motion
Throughout his legal journey, Baldwin has consistently maintained his innocence, stating in a 2021 interview with ABC News, “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger.”
However, in August 2023, a forensic report commissioned by the prosecution, and reviewed by The New York Times, concluded that Baldwin must have pulled the trigger for the weapon to discharge.
“Despite Alec Baldwin’s persistent denial of pulling the trigger,” Forensics expert Lucien C. Haag stated in the report, as reported by the Times, “based on the tests, findings, and observations included in this report, it is evident that the trigger had to be pulled or pressed with enough force to release the fully cocked or retracted hammer of the revolver in question.”
