Alabama Barker’s beloved aunt diagnosed with brain cancer
Alabama Barker is seeking support for a dear friend.
The 18-year-old daughter of Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler shared that her friend Julie—whom she lovingly calls her “dear aunt”—recently received a brain cancer diagnosis. Alabama shared a GoFundMe campaign link on her Instagram Story on May 26, requesting donations to help cover treatment costs. She wrote, “It would mean a lot if you could donate even $1.”
The fundraiser, initiated by Julie’s twin sister Elizabeth, explains that the brain cancer diagnosis follows a previous battle with breast cancer four years ago.
“Unfortunately, the tumor we hoped was benign turned out to be a metastasis of her prior cancer,” Elizabeth described in the fundraiser. “Julie will undergo brain surgery, followed by chemotherapy and radiation, with no definite duration of treatment.”
Elizabeth further expressed, “My resilient sister is the pillar of our family, a wonderful mother, daughter, and friend. She will be on leave from work to focus on overcoming this challenge once again.”
