Agency Responds to Accusations of Photoshopping in Kate Middleton Car Photo
The Kate Middleton conspiracy theories are being debunked one by one.
The Princess of Wales, who has been recuperating from abdominal surgery since January, accompanied her husband Prince William on a car ride on March 11. They were photographed in the backseat of a Range Rover leaving Windsor Castle.
Recently, after Kate admitted to digitally altering a different photo of herself, some social media users have raised doubts about the authenticity of the car picture of the royals. Some alleged that the bricks in the background did not match, while others pointed out similarities between her hairstyle in the photo and her appearance at the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme in 2016, where she wore a black pillbox hat.
In response to the speculation, Goff Photos, the agency that took the pictures of William and Kate in the Range Rover, stated to E! News that the images had been edited for cropping and lighting but nothing had been altered.
In January, Kensington Palace announced that Kate had undergone pre-planned surgery and had been hospitalized. Since then, the 42-year-old has been out of the public eye to recover, only making a return to social media on March 10 to mark Mother’s Day in the U.K.
