Stree 2 has been a huge success at the box office. The film, starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and others, has been receiving immense love from fans and breaking records at the box office. Abhishek Banerjee, who plays Jana in the film, recently opened up about the overwhelming reaction the film has been getting and compared it to the ‘whistles and hoots’ that Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan received.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama about the fantastic response Stree 2 has been getting in cinemas, Abhishek Banerjee mentioned that it feels like a festive season in movie theaters. He noted how people are reacting with hooting and whistling in cinemas, something he had only heard of happening in Amitabh Bachchan’s films.
Abhishek Banerjee expressed his disappointment at not seeing this kind of audience reaction in theaters anymore. He reminisced about experiencing it during Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan and how special it felt to have the same happening for his own film.
Various actors have been showering praise on the film and its cast. Sunny Deol recently joined this list by posting a film poster on social media. He congratulated the Stree 2 team for their success at the box office and encouraged them to keep going.
