Aamir Khan expresses regret for not being present in Junaid, Ira, and Azad’s lives; ‘I was knowledgeable about my team and directors, but…’
Aamir Khan, known for his versatility in the Hindi film industry, is a proud father of three children – Ira Khan, Junaid Khan, and Azad Khan. In a recent interview on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Chapter 2, Aamir reflects on his past regrets about not being present in his children’s lives. He admits to focusing too much on his career and neglecting valuable time with Ira, Junaid, and Azad.
Aamir Khan shared his thoughts on his children’s challenges, mentioning how Ira struggled with depression and needed him during that time. He expressed regret for missing out on his son Junaid’s debut film and hopes to support him as he takes the next big step in his career. As for his youngest son Azad, Aamir acknowledged that his childhood is fleeting.
The actor confessed that while he prioritized his work, he neglected his family’s emotional needs. He realized his mistake of not being there for his kids and considered leaving Bollywood altogether. It was Ira and Junaid who convinced him to stay in the industry, calling it a “big mistake” to quit.
Aamir Khan’s upcoming project, Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by R S Prasanna, features Genelia D’Souza and Darsheel Safary in lead roles.
