New report reveals that Aamir Khan has no involvement in nephew Imran Khan’s comeback project
Imran Khan is gearing up for a comeback after nearly ten years, with the project still in its early stages. Despite recent reports suggesting that his uncle Aamir Khan will produce his return project, a new report from HT City has debunked those rumors. The portal clarified that Aamir is not involved in the upcoming web show in any capacity.
According to their source, “There is a script written by Danish Aslam, which will be produced by him, Imran, and another mutual friend. Aamir is not a part of this comeback project. They pitched the project to a streaming platform, which showed interest at the pitch level without a full screenplay. No agreement has been finalized yet, as that will only happen once the screenplay is approved.”
Imran Khan made his debut in showbiz with the 2008 film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, produced by Aamir Khan, which was a box office success. He went on to star in films such as Kidnap, Luck, I Hate Luv Storys, and more.

His last big screen appearance was in Katti Batti (2015). His comeback movie is expected to be in line with his previous feel-good films. The source from HT City mentioned, “Imran and his co-producers are refraining from commenting on this until everything is finalized. The film will not start production until then, likely not this year.”
Initially, Imran was set to make his comeback with a Disney+ Hotstar spy series, where he was slated to play an intelligence officer. However, the project was shelved after Hotstar’s Jio takeover last year. Imran expressed his relief about the project not coming to fruition, citing his reluctance to play a character who relies on guns to solve problems.
