Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg are set to entertain audiences with their upcoming comedy-drama film, A Real Pain. Eisenberg not only stars in the film, but also wrote and directed it. Additionally, Emma Stone, a two-time Oscar winner, will be producing the film.
The film, previously featured at the Sundance Festival, will also star Will Sharpe, Jennifer Grey, Kurt Egyiawan, Liza Sadovy, and Daniel Oreskes alongside Eisenberg and Culkin.

A Real Pain follows two cousins as they embark on a trip to visit their grandmother in Poland. As the story unfolds, past secrets and family history come to light. Eisenberg shared how he chose Culkin for the role.
Although Eisenberg hadn’t seen Culkin’s work in Succession before casting him, it was Eisenberg’s sister who convinced him to consider Culkin for the part. Eisenberg expressed his relief when Culkin accepted the offer after a year of waiting.
Describing the film as a “buddy comedy” set during the Holocaust, Kieran Eisenberg highlighted the movie’s ability to balance humor and intimacy.
