Flashback: Irrfan Khan applauds Aamir Khan’s innovative approach to the film industry; ‘He has set a great example’
Irrfan Khan, known for his remarkable performances in movies like Paan Singh Tomar, Maqbool, and The Lunchbox, is remembered as one of the finest actors in the world. He once praised Aamir Khan’s approach to the film business, calling him a fair example in the Hindi film industry.
During an appearance on ETC Bollywood, Irrfan Khan expressed his respect for Aamir Khan’s fairness in the film industry. He mentioned that an actor should also have a business sense and be aware of the producer’s earnings.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring that producers earn profit from films so that everyone involved benefits. Irrfan Khan stated that he admires Aamir Khan’s approach and aims to set a similar example in the industry.
Despite never collaborating on a film, Irrfan Khan and Aamir Khan shared mutual respect for each other. Irrfan Khan’s career began in the late 1980s, and he went on to establish himself as a versatile actor in Bollywood.
In 2018, Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment in the UK. He passed away in 2020, leaving behind his wife and two sons. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan continues to work on various film projects and recently co-produced a film selected for the Oscars.
Aamir Khan is currently working on a new directorial project, reuniting with his Taare Zameen Par co-star after 17 years. The upcoming film also features Genelia D’Souza in a key role.
