Did you know Govinda shot for Hero No 1 song near Eiffel Tower in 15 minutes? Here’s what happened

Govinda filmed a song for Hero No 1 near the Eiffel Tower in just 15 minutes – here’s the story behind it.

Govinda started his acting career in Hindi cinema in the 80s and rose to stardom in the 90s. At the beginning of his career, Govinda signed 75 films at the age of 21, but later dropped 25 of them. Did you know that Govinda once shot a song from Hero No.1 near the Eiffel Tower in just 15 minutes? Casting director-actor Abhishek Banerjee recently shared this story.

In a recent interview with Lallantop, Abhishek Banerjee recalled how director David Dhawan informed him about Govinda shooting a song sequence near the Eiffel Tower in Paris in a mere 15 minutes.

Banerjee remembered that director David Dhawan needed to shoot a song near the Eiffel Tower, but didn’t have permission to film there.

“Govinda told him to just turn on the camera and quickly dance with the group on these steps, and in 15-20 minutes, the shoot was done,” the Stree 2 actor said.

Abhishek Banerjee praised Govinda’s work ethic, mentioning that no other actor could work like him in the 90s. Banerjee commended Govinda for his professionalism and ability to finish his work on time.

This incident took place on the sets of Mohabbat Ki Nahi Jaati, a track from the 1997 film, Hero No. 1, which also starred Karisma Kapoor. In the scene, Govinda and Karisma performed unique dance steps against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, surrounded by onlookers.

Aside from Hero No.1, Govinda is also known for films like Coolie No.1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Swarg, Saajan Chale Sasural, Raja Babu, Rajaji, Partner, and more.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Banerjee appeared in two films, Stree 2 and Vedaa, last month, both of which clashed at the box office on August 15. Stree 2 starred Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, while Vedaa featured John Abraham and Sharvari.
