Miranda Lambert wishes she had let herself enjoy the ride a little bit more.
The country music star reflected on the road she’s taken to where she is now as she doled out some advice to her younger self at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 26, saying she has “a lot” she would share, given the chance.
“I would also say, ‘enjoy the ride,'” Miranda exclusively told Heather McMahan on Live From E!: People’s Choice Country Awards. “‘Slow down a little bit.’ I’ve been a horse with blinders for so long just working toward a goal, and I think I did miss a few things by pushing.”
The “Wranglers” singer added, “I think I’d just tell her to take a chill pill, have another Tito’s and roll through it.” (For every star on the red carpet, head on over here.)
Miranda also told Live From E! that, as she looks forward in her career, there are “so many” female musicians she hopes to work with on future projects, declaring that she’s “drawn to the girls.”
