James Corden Reveals the Outcomes of Using Ozempic for Shedding Pounds
Ozempic is no joke for the comedian. Handler shared that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed the medication without her knowing what it was.
“I had no idea I was taking it,” she mentioned during the January 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to lose five pounds, this will help.”
Although she experimented with the medication, Handler admitted that she didn’t enjoy the way it made her feel.
“After returning from a trip, I injected myself with it,” she remembered. “A few days later, I met a friend for lunch and she said, ‘I’m so nauseous, I’m taking Ozempic.’ And I realized, ‘I’m feeling nauseous too.’ But I was just back from Spain and dealing with jet lag.”
In the end, Handler decided to discontinue the medication since it was not medically necessary for her. She gave away the remaining doses to her friends.
“I’ve given injections to about four or five friends because I realized I didn’t need it, it was unnecessary,” she disclosed. “It’s meant for people with weight concerns. I have friends visiting me, and I’m like, ‘I can see you at 1, I can see you at 2.'”
