Kate Winslet Shares Her Son’s Emotional Response to Watching Titanic for the First Time
During an interview with Net-a-Porter earlier this year, Kate recalled how journalists would remark, “After Titanic, you could have done anything and yet you chose to do these small things,”
“Yeah, you bet your life I did!” Kate responded. “Because, guess what, being famous was horrible.”
Despite her gratitude for the opportunities fame brought, Kate didn’t want to be constantly pursued by paparazzi.
She expressed her appreciation for the lasting impact of Titanic, as seen in Bear’s recent film introduction.
“It’s incredible to have been part of something that still resonates with people in such a nostalgic way,” Kate shared during an appearance on Good Morning America in 2022. “It’s a huge honor that people still love something that I was a part of so many years ago. It’s just magical.”
