Over the years, Kotb has talked about the possibility of adopting again. She mentioned that the process was delayed due to the pandemic but has not ruled it out completely. In an interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show in August, she said, “I have not closed the door. I keep getting signs that remind me that our hearts have the capacity to love endlessly.”
With her decision to step back from Today to allocate more time to her daughters and mother, the timing seems right for expanding her family.
During a conversation with DeGeneres in 2020, Kotb shared how she came to the decision to grow her family. “I was journaling and asked myself if we should adopt again. I questioned if we had enough love, time, and if our family would benefit from it. The answers were all yes, so I felt that maybe the answer was indeed yes.”
It’s important to always focus on the positive.
