During the season 12 premiere of The Masked Singer, Leaf Sheep—a real and incredibly adorable aquatic creature—was unveiled to be a NFL legend.
DeMarcus Ware, a fellow footballer who previously competed as Koala on the Fox singing competition show’s 11th season, introduced Leaf Sheep in the episode airing on Sept. 25, hailing the anonymous celebrity as the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time). When it was Leaf Sheep’s turn to hint at their true identity, the retired athlete couldn’t resist acknowledging the uniqueness of their undersea costume.
“I understand the confusion,” the star shared in a video clip. “I was puzzled myself until a few days ago. But the leaf sheep does exist. Look it up.”
Furthermore, the star pointed out that the costume is actually quite fitting now that they are no longer playing as a quarterback.
