Mama June gains custody of Anna Cardwell’s daughter, Kaitlyn
Prior to her passing, Anna made it known that she wanted her husband Eldridge Toney, who started a relationship with her in 2017 after her divorce from Michael, to have custody of both her daughters once they got married in March 2023.
However, Mama June stated on an episode of her show, Mama June: Family Crisis, earlier this summer, “Kaitlyn would be better off with me because there is stability. But Eldridge has been a part of Kaitlyn’s life since she was about 5 years old. Honestly, they need to put this plan in writing.”
In June, Mama June discussed taking care of Kaitlyn after being granted temporary custody of the child.
“We have taken on the responsibility of an 11-year-old—ensuring she attends school and maintaining as much normalcy in her life as possible,” Mama June shared with E! News in an exclusive interview. “We are also establishing routines for ourselves and striving to provide the consistency Kaitlyn needs—structure and stability.”
