Rockstar director Imtiaz Ali praises Ranbir Kapoor for his perfect balance of skill and creativity: ‘He also has a natural flair for technique’
Imtiaz Ali is a renowned Bollywood director who has collaborated with numerous B-town stars throughout the years. As a result, he possesses an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of these stars that set them apart from one another. Recently, he showered praise on Ranbir Kapoor, remarking that Kapoor possesses a balance of both artistry and technical skill.
During a brief interview with Buzzzooka Events, the filmmaker was asked to name a Bollywood actor who excelled in both craft and the art of filmmaking, someone who also assists Ali in direction. In response to this, the director of “Rockstar” stated, “Ranbir Kapoor possesses a good mixture of both qualities, with a natural grasp of technique and instinct.” Ali continued, “So, I believe he embodies a strong blend of both.”
It is not just Imtiaz Ali who admires Ranbir Kapoor, but also renowned casting director Mukesh Chhabra. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Chhabra commended Kapoor for maintaining his stardom in the digital age without any official social media accounts. Describing Ranbir as ‘Number 1’, Chhabra expressed, “I think the charm that Ranbir Kapoor exudes is a unique quality that drives people crazy when his films release. I believe Ranbir Kapoor holds the top spot in this regard.”
Ranbir Kapoor began his acting journey alongside Sonam Kapoor in the film “Saawariya” in 2007. Since then, he has established himself as a versatile artist with a string of successful big-budget films under his belt. Last year, he portrayed a romantic lead in “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” opposite Shraddha Kapoor, followed by a darker role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Animal”. Currently, Kapoor is occupied with the filming of Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming project, “Ramayana”, alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash.
