Inside Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens’ High School Musical Romance: A Disney High Exposé
Despite the ups and downs of their teenage romance, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens stood united while working on the High School Musical franchise.
In a snippet from an upcoming book by Ashley Spencer, Disney High: The Rise and Fall of Disney Channel’s Tween Empire, set to release on Sept. 24, former High School Musical stars like Lucas Grabeel reminisce about the dynamics between the ex-couple while filming.
“He was everything to her,” shared Lucas in an excerpt from Teen Vogue. “She truly adored him.”
On a different note, Peter Barsocchini recalls witnessing an argument between the actors on the set of High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
“I could hear her pulling Zac into the office, and then raised voices,” he recounted. “Remember how fleeting relationships are at that age? It was truly commendable that they stayed professional through three movies.”
The forthcoming book also delves into Zac’s rapid rise to fame after the initial film in 2006 and the interactions with the cast upon their return for the sequel in 2007.
