Would Eva Mendes Consider Returning to Acting?
Eva Mendes is not ruling out a return to acting in the future.
It has been ten years since the last movie appearance of the Hitch star, but she recently mentioned that she might consider coming back to acting, although she is not in a hurry to do so.
“I don’t know,” Eva shared with Good Morning America‘s George Stephanopoulos on Sept. 18. “If there are interesting roles. I left at a time where it was also, 10 years ago … I kind of felt like I had done it all, you know?”
The 50-year-old actress explained that her decision to step away from acting came after working on consecutive projects with her partner, Ryan Gosling, with whom she has two children, Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8.
They first met on the set of 2012’s The Place Beyond the Pines and collaborated again on Eva’s final movie project, 2014’s Lost River, which was written and directed by Ryan, 43.
“I had just worked with Ryan Gosling, who is amazing,” she expressed. “It was such a fulfilling experience to work with him and what we accomplished together that I thought, ‘This is a good time to, like, Seinfeld it and just bow out.'”
