Ananya Panday opens up about celebrity attendance at Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s wedding and the importance of genuine love
Ananya Panday was one of the many celebrities who attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding earlier this year. Being close to the newlyweds, the actress participated in the events and danced at the baraat and other pre-wedding celebrations. However, there were speculations about B-town stars being paid to attend the high-profile wedding. In an interview, Ananya finally addressed these rumors and expressed her displeasure with them.
Speaking to Mashable India, Ananya Panday clarified that she wholeheartedly participated in all the wedding events of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant as they are her friends. She also addressed the rumors of celebrities being paid to attend and dance at the wedding, stating, “Obviously, I will be dancing wholeheartedly at my friends’ weddings.” She emphasized that she loves celebrating love.
Furthermore, Ananya praised the bond between the newlyweds, mentioning that despite the chaos of the wedding, whenever Anant and Radhika looked at each other, it was filled with “pure love.” She expressed her desire to have a similar connection in her own life, where no matter the chaos around, there is a strong connection between two people.
Regarding the atmosphere at the grand Ambani wedding in Mumbai in July 2024, Ananya appreciated the warmth and hospitality shown by the billionaire family towards all the guests. She found it to be a beautiful quality that made everything feel personal despite the grandeur of the event.
On the work front, Ananya Panday is set to appear in the thriller “CTRL” directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Avinash Sampath, co-starring Vihaan Samat. The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 4, 2024.
