‘So Much Exciting Stuff’: Ginny & Georgia Star Antonia Gentry Teases Show’s Third Season

“Exciting Teases About Third Season from Ginny & Georgia Star Antonia Gentry”

Antonia Gentry hints at what’s to come in the highly-anticipated third season of the beloved Netflix series as it nears its premiere. Tudum recently revealed that filming for the third season of the popular show has wrapped up and is now in post-production before its release. “Finishing a season is always bitter-sweet,” Gentry, who portrays Ginny, shared with the outlet.

Even though they are still in the post-production phase, she assures that the third season will be a success due to its exceptional script and storyline. “I’m just excited to see what we’ve created this season and hope that fans love it,” she added. The actress, also recognized for her role in the 2018 movie Candy Jar, disclosed what the cast and crew are up to while waiting for the new season to drop.

“We’re almost there, but there’s still so much anticipation. We’re taking lots of photos,” she shared. Gentry believes that the third season will live up to the first two because “everyone has put in so much effort, the scripts are fantastic, and we’re all very proud of it.”

Production announced Ty Doran and Noah Lamanna as the new additions to the show playing Wolfe and Tris, respectively. Wolfe is a carefree individual in Ginny’s poetry class “who isn’t a fan of poetry.” Tris is a friend of Marcus and Silver — a group of extremely intelligent skateboarders and peer tutors.

The second season concluded dramatically with Georgia, played by Brianne Howey, getting arrested for the murder of her mother Cynthia’s (Sabrina Grdevich) husband. This surprising turn of events created chaos in the lives of Georgia, her mother, and Ginny. However, showrunner Sara Lampert insists that the situation was unavoidable in Georgia’s life.

“Georgia needed to commit a murder, and it had to be in Wellsbury, Massachusetts,” she explained to Tudum. Howey teased that her character’s relationship with her mother will face challenges in the upcoming season.

“It won’t be neatly tied up. We can’t resolve everything easily,” she stated. Lampert added, hinting that the new season will bring “fresh obstacles, new relationships, and new trials [for Ginny and Georgia] in a way we haven’t seen before on the show.”

The release date for season 3 of Ginny & Georgia is yet to be announced. In the meantime, you can catch up on seasons 1 and 2, currently available for streaming on Netflix.
