“Defending Perry Farrell: Wife Speaks Out Following Altercation with Dave Navarro”
Jane’s Addiction ended a reunion concert prematurely when frontman Perry Farrell seemed to hit guitarist Dave Navarro on stage.
Now, the singer’s spouse, Etty Lau Farrell, is sharing her perspective on the incident at the alternative rock band’s show in Boston on Sept. 13, which gained attention after fans shared videos on social media.
“There was clearly a lot of tension and hostility among the band members,” she posted on Instagram with a video of the confrontation. “The same spark that made the band so electrifying. Well, the explosion happened. Perry confronted Dave and made contact.”
E! News has reached out to representatives for Farrell and Navarro for comments on the incident but has not received a response.
In the video, during their performance of “Ocean Size,” the singer approaches the guitarist, seems to shout at him, then hits his back before continuing to argue and ultimately swings his arm toward Navarro’s shoulder.
