Diljit Dosanjh’s manager discloses ticket resale prices and tour earnings in North America
Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is currently on his Dil-Luminati tour, performing across the world. After successful concerts in Vancouver, Dallas, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more, Diljit is now gearing up for his Dil-Luminati Tour in India. Over 1 lakh tickets were sold in just 15 minutes during the pre-sales that started on September 10th. During his America tour, tickets were resold for high prices, with his team earning Rs 234 crore.
In a recent interview, Diljit Dosanjh’s manager Sonali Singh revealed that the singer earned Rs 234 crore from his US shows during the Dil-Luminati Tour. She also mentioned how tickets were being resold at much higher prices than the original.
Sonali shared, “There were resellers selling tickets for $64,000 (Rs 54 lakh) and $55,000 (Rs 46 lakh), and people were buying them at that price.” She also disclosed that Diljit made close to $28 million (Rs 234 crore) during his North America tour.
Sonali also mentioned the overwhelming response from Diljit’s fans in Abu Dhabi, where around 30,000 tickets have already been sold for his upcoming concert. She stated that this is the highest number of tickets sold by any Indian artist.
After the pre-sale of Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour in India started, some fans expressed disappointment as tickets sold out within minutes, with Gold tickets in Delhi priced at Rs 12,999 onwards.
The Dil-Luminati Tour in India kicks off on October 26 with the first concert at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Other shows are scheduled in Chandigarh, Guwahati, Pune, Indore, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.
