In the newly released teaser, a new adventure awaits with Patrick Gibson portraying the young Dexter in the series.
Not to worry, Michael C. Hall, the original star of Dexter, will have a significant role in the series as the narrator and inner voice of Dexter.
The series is set in 1991 Miami, showcasing Dexter in his younger days as a student.
As the official synopsis states, Dexter must learn to control his bloodthirsty urges and channel his inner darkness.
Dexter’s father will introduce him to a code to help him hunt down individuals considered unfit for society without getting caught by law enforcement.
Showrunner Clyde Phillips, who oversaw the first four seasons of the original series, will be leading the new entry.
The series will consist of 10 episodes and is currently being filmed in Los Angeles.
Introducing new faces in Dexter: Original Sin, such as Patrick Dempsey as Captain Aaron Spencer, Christian Slater as Dexter’s father, and Molly Brown as Dexter’s sister, Deb.
Other stars in the series include Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, James Martinez, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Dexter: Original Sin will premiere on December 13 on Paramount+.
