This eternal love story about Veer and Zaara received a lot of love when it was released in 2004, becoming the highest grossing Indian film of that year. Now, 20 years later, Veer Zaara is re-releasing in theaters and the excitement is palpable, evident from the strong bookings despite limited showings.

Veer Zaara Sells 3250 Tickets In Top National Chains For The 1st Day Of Its Re-Release

Veer Zaara is set to re-release in 250 screens by Yash Raj Films, with only one show per screen. Despite the low-key re-release strategy, the movie has already sold 3250 tickets for the first day in top chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. MovieMax chain has also contributed over 300 tickets, three times more than the new release of the week – The Buckingham Murders. The film is expected to make around Rs 15-20 lakh in its re-opening, with hopes of increased shows over the weekend.

It Isn’t The First Time And Won’t Be The Last Time That Veer Zaara Re-Releases In Theatres

This isn’t the first time Yash Raj Films has re-released Veer Zaara. They have done so in the past along with other iconic films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dil To Pagal Hai, and Mohabbatein. Despite the availability of the film on digital platforms, it’s heartwarming to see audiences still flocking to theaters to watch Veer Zaara.
