Full List of Winners at the 2024 VMAs
Taylor Swift dominated the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, taking home seven awards, including video of the year for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone.
Sabrina Carpenter won the Moon Person for song of the year, while Chappell Roan was recognized as the best new artist at the 2024 show.
Other winners included SZA, Eminem, Lenny Kravitz, Blackpink’s Lisa, and Tyla. Taylor Swift led the nominations with 12 nods. Winners are determined by fan votes.
Megan Thee Stallion hosted the show, which was broadcast live from New York’s UBS Arena. She also gave a performance during the 2024 VMAs.
Katy Perry was honored with the Video Vanguard Award this year and treated the audience to a medley of her top hits. Other performers included Anitta, Eminem, LL Cool J, Benson Boone, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, Karol G, Blackpink’s Lisa, Rauw Alejandro, Shawn Mendes, and Sabrina Carpenter. In remembrance of the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, MTV supported the non-profit organization 9/11 Day, which coordinates the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, as well as Tuesday’s Children, which provides assistance to families affected by 9/11.
The VMAs were produced by Bruce Gillmer and Jesse Ignjatovic, co-founder of Den of Thieves, with Barb Bialkowski as the co-executive producer. Alicia Portugal and Jackie Barba served as executives in charge of production, Wendy Plaut as the executive in charge of celebrity talent, and Lisa Lauricella as the music talent executive.
The show was broadcast live on BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV, MTV2, Nick at Nite, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, VH1, and Univision.
