Flashback: Shah Rukh Khan Thanks Kajol for Saving His Life During Dilwale’s Gerua Song Shoot
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol reunited after a long time in the 2015 movie Dilwale. The audience had high expectations from the Rohit Shetty film, which also featured Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. While the two veteran actors enjoyed working together again, they faced challenges during the filming of the song Gerua. In a video shared by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Kajol revealed how she saved Khan from falling off a waterfall.
Prior to the official release of Dilwale on December 18, 2015, a behind-the-scenes video from the making of the song Gerua was released. The video, shared on Red Chillies Entertainment’s YouTube channel, showcased the fun and struggles of the team, including Rohit Shetty and choreographer Farah Khan. It also included a clip of Kajol saving Khan’s life.
During an interview, SRK admitted that Kajol, the wife of Ajay Devgn, saved his life. Kajol added, “You would not have survived the waterfall if I hadn’t caught you in time.” Appreciating her, Shah Rukh said, “Thank you very much for saving my life,” to which she responded, “You owe me now.” Khan smiled and said, “I owe you my life. My life now belongs to you.”
The romantic song Gerua, composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra, is part of the Gauri Khan production. Along with the four leads, the film also features supporting actors Pankaj Tripathi, Mukesh Tiwari, Varun Sharma, Boman Irani, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi, and Johnny Lever.
As for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming projects, he is gearing up to start shooting for his action film King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Suhana Khan, his daughter, will make her big-screen debut in the movie, having already appeared in the OTT show The Archies.
