Emily Armstrong of Linkin Park Speaks Out Against Support for Danny Masterson
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis—who appeared in That 70s Show with Masterson—were among those who submitted character letters to a judge following Masterson’s conviction and prior to his sentencing.
After facing backlash online once their letters were made public, the couple, who are now married, issued an apology for their actions. They explained that Masterson’s family had asked them to “write character letters to show the person we knew for 25 years so the judge could consider that when sentencing.”
“We understand the hurt caused by the character letters we wrote for Danny Masterson,” said Kutcher in the video, with Kunis by his side adding, “We stand with victims. This has always been evident in our work and will continue to be going forward.”
Kunis added, “Our thoughts are with every individual who has experienced sexual assault, abuse, or rape,” before ending the recording.
