Daisy Edgar-Jones Discusses Onscreen Connection with Jacob Elordi, Praises ‘Charismatic’ Co-Star from On Swift Horses
Daisy Edgar-Jones recently discussed her quick bond with co-star Jacob Elordi in the upcoming movie On Swift Horses. The actress shared her appreciation for Elordi during her participation in the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Speaking about their movie, which premiered at the festival, Edgar-Jones said, “It’s not hard to make chemistry with Jacob,” describing him as “charismatic.”
The 26-year-old actress mentioned how filming scenes where Elordi and her character developed a relationship with dynamics was intelligently done.
She compared going through the scripts to reading poems and praised the elements of the story.
She also admired director Daniel Minahan for creating space for them to bond and play. Edgar-Jones appreciated shooting early scenes with Elordi first in the film.
Elordi, on the other hand, expressed his love for his cowboy character and mentioned the immediate chemistry he had with Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Elordi described his audition as a fun workshop where they all had a great time together.
On Swift Horses is based on Shannon Pufahl’s 2019 book and follows a newlywed couple, Muriel (Edgar-Jones) and Lee (Will Poulter), beginning a new life after Lee’s return from the Korean War. Julius, played by Elordi, enters the picture as Lee’s younger brother, leading to a complex love triangle.
The movie also stars Sasha Calle, Kat Cunning, and Diego Calva. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, and is currently seeking distributors.
