Mirzapur actor Vijay Varma reminisces about his ‘lowest’ point in life with only Rs 18 in his bank account; ‘My father and I were not on speaking terms’
Actor Vijay Varma, known for his roles in Pink, Mirzapur, and Gully Boy, is gearing up for his upcoming series, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. He recently shared a personal story of facing financial struggles, with only Rs 18 in his bank account and not on talking terms with his father.
During an interview, Vijay Varma confirmed the incident of having only Rs 18 in his bank account, calling it the “lowest low” phase of his life. He mentioned that he had stopped asking for money from his family and was advised to let the fire inside him burn.
In IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, Vijay Varma portrays Captain Devi Sharan, the pilot during the 1999 hijacking. The series, premiering on Netflix on August 29, also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Dia Mirza, and depicts the events of the hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814 in 1999.
