Erika Jayne’s Ex Tom Girardi Found Guilty on 4 Counts of Wire Fraud

Tom Girardi, ex-husband of Erika Jayne, convicted of wire fraud on 4 counts

Tom Girardi‘s legal troubles persist.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne‘s estranged spouse was recently convicted on four counts of wire fraud on Aug. 27 in a grand jury trial tied to his decade-long embezzlement schemes, allowing him to unlawfully take $15 million in settlement funds from four clients, as reported by NBC News.

Girardi, who maintained his innocence in the face of these charges last year, is scheduled for sentencing on Dec. 6.

E! News has contacted representatives of both Jayne and Girardi for comments but has not received a response as of now.

In a lawsuit against the former attorney who was a partner and owner at Girardi Keese, as obtained by E! News, four former clients alleged that Girardi misappropriated millions from their settlement funds for injuries.

They alleged that he used the money to cover expenses for other Girardi Keese clients whose funds had been misused previously, the firm’s payroll, and other expenses, including personal charges on Girardi’s American Express Card.
