Fans demand sequel with Ranveer Singh after Sridevi and Anil Kapoor’s nostalgic black and white throwback photo from Mr India shoot evokes memories of the good old days
Relive the nostalgic moment with Boney Kapoor’s latest Instagram post. The black-and-white throwback picture captures the essence of the beginning of the hit film Mr India in 1987, featuring Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, and Javed Akhtar in their dapper avatars.
Notable is Boney’s heroic look, Anil’s familiar attire from the film, and Sridevi’s elegant long dress. The men in the picture are dressed in white shirts and jeans. Boney captioned the post, “January 5th, 1985 Just before first-day shoot, Mr. India.” Check it out below:
Several users expressed their desire for a sequel to the cult classic. Comments such as “My fav childhood film. Part 2 is needed. Anil Kapoor ji and Ranveer Singh as a villain” and “Mr. India 2 plz sir” flooded the comment section.
The 1987 superhero film Mr India was jointly produced by Boney Kapoor and Surinder Kapoor under the Narsimha Enterprises banner. Directed by Shekhar Kapur, the film featured a story and screenplay by the legendary duo Salim-Javed.
