Abhishek Banerjee reveals if the poster of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 was inspired by Stranger Things: ‘Our job is…’
Stree 2, the horror comedy, released on August 15, continues to generate buzz. There have been discussions about credit disputes following its success, Aparshakti Khurana singing Hello Chitti, and more. Netizens have also noticed similarities between the posters of Stree 2 and Stranger Things Season 2. Abhishek Banerjee has now addressed whether the Stree 2 poster was inspired by Stranger Things. He shared that as an actor, his role is to be on the poster.
During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Abhishek Banerjee was questioned about the resemblance between the Stree 2 poster and that of Stranger Things 2.
Abhishek responded, “I don’t know. I have no idea how they come up with marketing and poster designs.”
“We are actors. Our job is to be on the poster, not to design it,” he added.
After the release of Stree 2, social media users were quick to point out the similarities between the posters of Stree 2 and Stranger Things. Some questioned if it was a copy or a coincidence.
The makers of Stree 2 have not yet commented on the resemblance with Stranger Things. For those unfamiliar, Stranger Things is a science fiction TV show available on Netflix.
Stree 2 is a sequel to the 2018 horror comedy Stree, both directed by Amar Kaushik and part of the Maddock Supernatural Universe.
