Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s Rajpal Yadav gets the star treatment from Shool crew; arrives in a jeep with six others and leaves in…
Rajpal Yadav had a small role in the 1999 movie Shool as a coolie. However, he gained popularity through the TV show Mungeri Ke Bhai Naurangilal. His fans went crazy when they saw him on set, showing the crew members how big of a star he was.
In an interview with Ashoke Pandit on The Ashoke Pandit Show on YouTube, Rajpal Yadav recalled how he received star treatment after his fans showed excitement. He remembered shooting for Shool in Motihari, Bihar, where the crew from Hyderabad was unaware of his popularity. At one point, the fans started screaming his character’s name, which made the team realize his fame.
Manoj Bajpayee pointed out Rajpal to the crew, leading to him being treated like a star on set. This was a stark contrast to when he arrived in a cramped vehicle but left in a car all to himself. Rajpal shared an incident where director Eeshwar Nivas asked him to speak properly in front of Manoj Bajpayee, not realizing they already knew each other.
Similar to Rajpal Yadav, other National School of Drama graduates like Nawazuddin Siddiqui also had small roles in Shool. Nawazuddin played a waiter in the film. Rajpal Yadav’s upcoming project is Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, featuring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri. The film is set for a theatrical release during the Diwali 2024 weekend.
